The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued multiple warnings for heavy snowfall and high water flows across parts of Sweden.

In Western Sweden, snow accumulation could reach up to 25 centimeters, particularly on Tuesday, amid uncertain forecasts.

The snow, accompanied by stronger winds, poses significant traffic hazards, including slippery roads and reduced visibility, especially in the northern Götaland and southern Svealand regions, as well as the Stockholm area.

Additionally, an orange warning for unusually high water flows and very high stream velocities has been issued for Tämnarån and Lake Tämnaren south of Tierp in Uppsala County, leading to the closure of road 647 due to flooding.

The situation is aggravated by the rapid melting of substantial snow accumulations, contributing to potential extensive flooding in areas with saturated ground..
