Several individuals have been detained in Umeå, following the largest drug seizure ever recorded in Västerbotten, signaling a significant presence of organized crime networks in northern Sweden.

This unprecedented confiscation, which occurred at the end of March, is considered evidence of criminal networks expanding their operations into the north, exploiting unestablished markets.

The situation is further complicated by the shifting dynamics between rival gangs, with the so-called Dalen network extending its reach northwards amidst internal conflicts within the Foxtrot network.
