Halmstads municipality may soon find itself embroiled in the Swedish Nurses Union's overtime blockade.

The union has warned that unless a solution is reached with the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) within two weeks, they will extend their overtime ban from the regions to include 29 municipalities, including Halmstad, effective from May 20.

This action will halt overtime, additional hours, and new hires, potentially impacting services at elderly care facilities and schools.

No other municipality in Halland is currently targeted.
