EU Election Awareness Low Among Uppsala Students

With the EU election approaching on June 9, a significant number of Uppsala University students appear to be unaware of the event, despite its importance.

Surveys conducted by DN/Ipsos earlier this year indicate that six out of ten people are oblivious to the upcoming EU election, and only one in six voters is aware it's scheduled for June.

The concerns raised by young voters, such as gang violence within Sweden and climate change, highlight a demand for EU-level solutions, according to the Youth Barometer's report on Society, Politics & Engagement.
